    Major Updates:

    LeagueOS beginning fees:

Our current hosting platform LeagueOS is going to begin charging a fee for teams to compete. This is a response to news that all major esports platforms are beginning to charge fees. This cost comparatively to others is so far reasonable and we will share more details with you as they are settled. The cost comes with benefits that we are weighing against other options, but we want to make all of you away for the following school year.

We recommend exploring team fees for your players similar to other sports. Not only could these fees help pay for the league, they can also be used for jerseys, travel to tournaments, and improvements to esports and equipment.

For those who would not be able to make team fees work, we also would like to offer alternatives such as admin support through the school budget, grants that can be applied for, or local sponsors.

    Season Restructuring:

In addition we will be restructuring the season schedule to help out with the overwhelming number of games our coaches find themselves having to run over 4 days a week. Each season is going to have two main games that will compete in the seasons you all are familiar with. In the Fall, we will play Chess, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In the Spring we will play Rocket League, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Each of these games will be played on Tuesday and Thursday respectively.

To not miss out on our off season games entirely, the games not being played in each season will have a shortened 5 week competition on Wednesdays contained in the week. This will be a 3 week round robin followed by a quick playoff bracket for the top teams. We hope this will let our coaches expand to multiple games while not overwhelming those who are running their organizations single handedly. We will also point towards LeagueOS’s scrimmage feature that we will share resources on how to use it to get games during off season.

    Tentative Schedule:

Attached is a tentative schedule for the 2026 – 2027 Competitive season. Changes may occur depending on feedback from our post season survey. Please take a look and let us know about any conflicts you can foresee for your school next year.
